Our professional Cake Decorators incorporate aesthetics and creativity into their work decorating beautiful cakes, pies, pastries, and other sweet products according to Malek's Bakery policies and customer preference. An attention to detail is particularly important because of Malek's high standards for product safety, food safety, and associate safety.

Cake Decorator Responsibilities

• Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions.

• Ices, decorates, packages, trays, and labels products for front display cases.

• Fills customer special orders, including wedding cakes.

• Operates the Bakery's mixers and preparation equipment.

• Follows Malek's Bakery guidelines for cake decorators and maintains high standards for product freshness and sanitation.

• Assists with the delivery and setup of wedding cakes as needed.

Full-Time

Front Counter Associate

Our Front of Bakery, Counter Associates will sell our baked goods to customers, manage baked goods and ingredient inventories, and take control of the daily cleanup procedures at the bakery. They will also be required to monitor ingredient expiration dates. Our Counter Associates are highly organized and have excellent communication skills.

Bakery Front Counter Associate Responsibilities:

• Creating a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery counter.

• Advising customers on baked goods selection, as well as weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payments.

• Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

• Reporting low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.

• Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.

• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

Cleaners and Delivery Drivers

We are looking for a Cleaner to join our team! As a Cleaner at our bakery, you will be responsible for taking care of our facilities, and you will carry out various cleaning and maintenance duties.

Your main goal will be to keep our bakery in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.

Cleaner duties and responsibilities

• Perform various cleaning actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, cleaning counter tops and display cases, restroom cleaning, etc

• Perform and track routine inspection

• Perform and track maintenance activities

• Notify management in case there is a need for repair and interventions

• Make adjustments and perform minor repairs

• Stock and maintain supply room

• Follow all health and safety regulations

Part-Time: Thursdays, Fridays, & Sundays
